ÖZET Mehmet Zeki Pakalın‘a ait Osmanlı Tarih Deyimleri ve Terimleri Sözlüğü, Osmanlı tarihi ve kültürüne ilgi duyanlar için kıymetli bir başvuru kaynağıdır. Eserin söz varlığı, Osmanlı tarih ve kültürünün yanı sıra edebiyatıyla da ilgili önemli unsurlar ihtiva etmektedir. Eserde maddeler hakkında ayrıntılı bilgi verilirken çeşitli ansiklopedi, sözlük ve mecmualardan yararlanılmış, ayrıca bu maddeleri örneklemek üzere iktibas beyitler kullanılmıştır. Eserde 210 şairden toplam 1672 adet beyit alıntılanmıştır. Şairlere ait 137 divandan faydalanılmıştır. Yararlanılan şairlerin dördünün divanı elde yokken, dokuz şairin ise hiç divanı bulunmamaktadır. Eserde ayrıca otuz iki mesneviden, altı antolojiden, üç mecmuadan, on beş tezkireden, üç sözlükten ve bir tarih kitabından yararlanıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Osmanlı Tarih Deyimleri ve Terimleri Sözlüğü‘ndeki klasik edebiyata ait unsurların incelenmesi konulu tezimiz dört bölümden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmanın Giriş kısmında çalışmanın konusu ve amacı, Mehmet Zeki Pakalın‘ın hayatı ve eserleri ile ilgili bilgiler bulunmaktadır. Ayrıca yazarın en önemli eserlerinden biri kabul edilen ve araştırmamıza kaynaklık eden Osmanlı Tarih Deyimleri ve Terimleri Sözlüğü tanıtılmıştır. Birinci bölümde sözlükte alıntı yapılan şairler, yaşadıkları yüzyıllara, tarikatlarına, yapılan alıntı sayılarına ve de dönemlerine göre incelenmiş, inceleme sonuçları tablolar halinde ortaya konulmuştur. İkinci bölümde, Pakalın‘ın sözlükte yararlandığı kaynaklar tanıtılmış ve bu kaynaklar konularına ve alanlarına göre sınıflandırılmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde, sözlükte alıntı yapılan şairler hakkında bilgi verilmiş, bu şairlerden yapılan alıntılara ve şairlerle ilgili yapılan çalışmalara yer verilmiştir. Dördüncü ve son bölümde ise, sözlükte yer alan klasik edebiyatla ilgili maddeler incelenmiş, maddelerde iktibas yapılan örnek beyitler verilmiş ve bu beyitlerin madde ile bağlantısından bahsedilmiştir. Ardından konusu edebiyat olan maddeler kendi arasında sınıflandırılmıştır. Pakalın‘ın ön sözünde uzun bir emek mahsulü olarak değerlendirdiği eseri, Osmanlı kültürünün tanınması açısından önemli bir kaynaktır. Eser üzerinde yapılmış birkaç çalışma bulunmakla birlikte, daha detaylı inceleme ve çalışmaların yapılması faydalı olacaktır. Term value of this dictionary contains important componets for Ottoman history and culture as well as Ottoman literature. Encyclopedias, disctionaries, periodicals were used to give detailed information point by point and couplets were used to exemplify these points. 1672 couplets from 210 poets were cited in this dictionary. 137 divans were made used of in this dictionary. Divans of four of the poets mentioned above are not at hand at present and nine of these poets has not got divans at all. Additionally, it has been confirmed that 32 mesnevis, 6 anthologies, 3 periodicals, 15 collections of biographies, 3 dictionaries and one history book were made use of in this dictionary. Our masters thesis about analysis of classical literature elements in The Dictionary Ottoman History Idioms and Terms is consisted of four chapters. Introduction chapter gives information about subject and aim of the thesis and life and books of Mehmet Zeki Pakalın. This chapter also presents Ottoman History Idioms and Terms Dictionary which is one of the most important books of the author and is also a vital source for our researh. In the first chapter, poets who are mentioned in the dictionary are analyzed with respect to their centuries, number of quations and eras and the results are presented as charts. In the second chapter, the resources which were made use of by Pakalın are presented and these resources are classified with respect to their subjects and domains. In the third chapter, it was given information about the poets who were quoted in the dictionary. Additionally, quotations from these poets and studies about these poets were also given place. In the fourth and the last chapter, points about classical literature are analysed, examples of quotes ,which were plagiarised in the dictionary, are given and the connection between these quotes and the points were mentioned. The dictionary which were evaluated as the fruit of a long effort in the prologue by Pakalın is an important source in terms of promoting Ottoman culture. Although there has been a couple of studies about the dictionary, further and detailed examination would be very beneficial.
